Amazing photographer from small town Rumania. Considering his studio was demolished the year he retired (1960) and his house was demolished the year he died (1984), it's a wonder that any of his photos survived. All of his early portraits were done on glass plates (silver coated Agfa)
1930s photos are always the most haunting ... so many countries in a headlong rush to become thoroughly modern, with tragedy just around the corner.
By the way ... the really nice colourized photos are done by Manos Athanasiadis (see below)
Talking of which ... looking forward to seeing the new Peter Jackson film (Though nothing will cleanse his soul after doing all those hobbit movies)

Quirky driving game - from Turkey, I think ... I was looking for something like 'Ford Street Racing' - just a good fun racer that doesn't need a dirty great steampunk style graphics card . Turned out to be pretty difficult to find, but this is ace ... plays well and you can save games. I'm still stuck on the first car - bouncy old citroen ... be warned, though - you can actually run out of petrol in this game ! - so keep an eye on the fuel gauge.

SUPERBIKE RACER
Very hard to find good bike games - this gets the balance right between daydreaming and instant death that is the joy of motorcycling. (Up and down the hills of Derbyshire and The Lakes on a dodgy but fast 250 is the stuff of bucket-lists)
