STREET ART

The antidote to public art

EDWARD BATEMAN

LAURIE LIPTON

When I first saw her work, I thought "Ah ... like Gee Vaucher" - (who did Crass's artwork) ... meaning

photomontage - mixed photos and painting. Then I found out they are actually giant pencil drawings ...  amazing.

A recent reviewer said "I worry for her sanity" ... we don't

Great to see an artist with a decent website for a change ... also enjoyed this video

I've long been a fan of

DAVID SEDARIS

... He cracks me up. He seems to get better over time, too.

There are some 'taster' recordings of him on soundcloud, but he seems

to save his best stuff for the Broken Biscuit Company ...

His last bit of writing was superb - it's always good to hear about your own country,

viewed by an outsider with genuine wit.

EVERYDAY DISASTERS

JOHN BROSIO

IT'S CORN !

As heard on Robert Webb's 'Desert Island Discs'.

It's like WEEN, without the vocoder ...

DOMINIQUE APPIA

It's an amazing picture, considering it was made in 1975. Had it on my wall for years,

before I decided to research it. He was a self taught artist who only began painting at  the age of 40

Spent a while on bandcamp looking for some interesting new music -

gave up and just checked out the latest Meatwave offering ...

- still the only online music I've ever actually bought.

Bright orange
Got a death wish weaving on the interstate
Eat my fucking dust
Ripping 90 without a care
Need gas money from you three and we’re square
Tommy want to go fast
Flaming stallion decal printed on both sides
Spoiler for the drag
Flaming stallion decal tattooed on my sides
Spoiler for the drag
Sped into the sun
Ridiculous car
Death by fun
Ridiculous car
Bright orange ridiculous car
It all ends here in my ridiculous car
