always preferred the series to the films
My
favourite Python sketch ...
My
older brother installed a portable black and white TV
into the bedroom we shared.
I
was about 11 at the time and probably saw a lot of late
night stuff I shouldn't have.
The
mid-to-late 70s was an exciting time, when people were
still arguing about what TV was for
and
experiments abounded ... from a new full colour generation
who were fighting to break
away
from a grey post-war austerity and an unforgiving and
angry establishment who
thought
we still had an empire ...
